Story of My Life by Helen Keller is an inspiring autobiography of a brave woman who overcame her disabilities to motivate generations after her.The book traces her journey as she overcomes struggles that any other young person may have but with the added disadvantage of being denied the faculties of sight and sound. It is a memoir of Helens early life, when with the help of her teacher Ann Sullivan she learnt to recognise the world around her. With the help of her able tutor, within months she began to read sentences by feeling raised words on cardboard and moved on to making her own sentences by arranging words in a frame.She went on to read and write Braille and even enjoyed music by feeling the vibrations of the beats. Through tenacity and yearning, Helen acquired the facilities people take for granted. With her positive attitude and hard work, Helen went on to become the first person with such disabilities to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
